Entering the sixth year of operation, we joyfully announced that the interior design of SCHSA Jockey Club Oi Man Centre, the headquarters of SCHSA, awarded the Good Design Award 2018 of Japan.

As a long-standing partner of SCHSA, we were taking in charge of the interior design of the Oi Man Centre. We have transformed the 3-storey, 43,000 sq. ft. area into a cozy yet functional hub for arranging a variety of activities to senior citizens. In the second and third floor of Oi Man Centre, distinct and old Hong Kong elements have been reused in a modern form, aligning with the ambitions of SCHSA in realizing “Ageing in Place”, and enabling the elderly “Be Safe, Be Well” in the community.

Clifton said: “I am grateful that whenever I visited Oi Man Centre, I could feel the warm interactions between staff and volunteers of SCHSA. The Old Hong Kong settings of the Centre also recalled the collective memories of the good old days in Hong Kong among the elderly. I would like to thank SCHSA for giving me great freedom to create an ideal complex where heartwarming stories built on the city’s rich culture and heritage could be shared.”
